Chittering

The experiments' own language.

Their own language

Over the years, the experiments made up a language of their own, called chittering. It's spoken by clicking their tongues, mixed with whines.

Not every experiment knows it. Some have never learned it, while others speak it fluently.

Talking in secret

Experiments use chittering to talk in secret, right out in the open.

The higher-ups don't pay much attention to it. They assume the clicking and whining is just noise, some kind of stress reliever, and nothing worth listening to. Because of that, chittering is the one way experiments can say things they aren't supposed to say, without anyone above them catching on.
