Sources and takedowns
This site is a fan-made alternate universe of Casualties: Unknown, made by Orsoniks and published by Oro Interactive. Some files on this site were taken from the game. They're all listed below.
For the creator of the game
If you're Orsoniks, or you speak for Oro Interactive, and you want any of these files taken down, or you have any other concern about how your work is used here, email:
Tell me which files or parts of the site it's about.
Before I take anything down, I'll need detailed proof that you are who you say you are. Anyone can claim to be the developer, and I don't want to remove things because someone is pretending to be you. Good proof would be:
- an email from an address that's publicly tied to Casualties: Unknown or Oro Interactive, like one listed on the Steam page or an official website, or
- a post or message from one of the game's official accounts that mentions your request, or
- anything else that clearly and publicly links you to the game.
Once I've confirmed it's really you, the files will come down.
Why a Proton address?
You might wonder why this isn't a Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook address. Proton Mail is built around privacy: messages are encrypted, it doesn't read your mail to show you ads, and it doesn't ask for a phone number or your real name to sign up. This address was made only for takedown requests and isn't tied to anything else I use.
I want to stay anonymous, and I want you to be able to stay anonymous too. That's not because I have anything to hide. It's to keep both of us safe from harassment. Fan communities can get heated, and nobody should end up with their name or inbox passed around over a takedown request.
So anything you send stays between us. The proof you send is only for me to check that you're really the developer. I won't post it, share it, or publish your name, email or anything else about you. If you'd like to keep your own address private as well, you're welcome to email from a Proton account or any other private address, as long as the proof itself clearly ties back to the game.
Files taken from the game
Most of these are used on The Specimen page. The main menu picture is the background of the home page, and the cover art is in the footer.

Experiment sprites, the animated SAW-01 at the top of the page (some files renamed):
HeadBack.png, HeadMouth.png, HeadMouthHalf.png, EyeOpen.png, EyeLookBack.png, EyeHalfClosed.png, EyeHalfClosedBack.png, EyeClosed.png, UpTorso.png, DownTorso.png, UpArm.png, DownArm.png, HandF.png, HandB.png, Thigh.png, Crus.png, Foot.png, Tail.png
The “I pixel u” font, all the text on the health panel. The game only has it as a texture, so it was traced back into a web font:
ipixelu.woff2, ipixelu.ttf
Main menu picture, the animated background of the home page. These are the game's 18 menu layers (back1 to back18, plus the two blink frames), cropped, renamed and converted to WebP, with the game's own color tints baked in:

Game icon, the button in the top right of every page and on the admin page. Taken from the game's desktop icon and converted to PNG:

Cover art, in the footer of every page:

Game data, no files: numbers read from the game and rewritten in this site's own code. That covers where each panel piece sits, how the body parts fit together, the idle animation, the heartbeat shape, how the head follows the cursor, how often the eyes blink, how long the mouth stays open when it barks, and how far each layer of the main menu moves with the mouse.
Bark sound, not from the game. It's a free-to-use sound from a stock audio site, and I've heard it in other games too. I haven't tracked down where it first came from yet:
bark.ogg
Screaming sound, on The Encoded Note page, not from the game. It's a stock horror sound effect, cut down to six seconds with a fade at the end:
cries.mp3
Galaxy picture, the background of the “Game Files & DMCA” button, not from the game. It's from HowStuffWorks, resized:

Everything else on this site was made for it. The lore belongs to the site owner.
